Services Offered by The CBRG Server

Welcome to the CBRG server of ETHZ. Usage of this server is free of charge and open to all researchers who have access to WWW or to internet electronic mail. This server is experimental, and may still have some minor problems. If you encounter any difficulty in its operation we will appreciate your comments/suggestions for improvements.

All the queries submitted to the system are processed with the Darwin system and publicly available databases. In general, these results could be reproduced by any user who obtains a copy of Darwin and a copy of the databases. Darwin is also distributed without charge by the CBRG. Most servers will ask for an e-mail address the results should be sent to when the computation is finished (or an error has been detected). This is normally your e-mail address.

• AllAll: Related peptide sequences (Trees, ancestral seq., MSA, predictions etc)
• Linear Classification: Classify observations into classes
• MassSearch: Searching SwissProt or EMBL by protein mass after digestion
• PepPepSearch: Searching SwissProt for a peptide sequence
• TreeGen: Tree generation from distance data
• Phylogenetic Tree: Distance or Parsimony Trees from Sequences
• Darwin: Run a Darwin program
• Vertex Cover: Resolves a Vertex Cover problem or a conflict graph problem.
• Evolutionary Analysis (Ka/Ks trees and NEDs)
• ASAS: Alerting of Structurally Ambivalent Sequences
• FastaToDarwinDb: Convert FASTA sequences to Darwin SGML
• ParseEMBL: Convert an EMBL file to Darwin database format
